Marc-André Poupart, Ph. D.

Marc-André Poupart obtained his Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the Université de Montréal (1985), before joining Professor Leo Paquette's group (Ohio State University) as an NSERC Postdoctoral Fellow.  During the course of his career, Dr. M. A. Poupart occupied several positions, in both industry and academia.  These includes Distinguished Scientist for Boeringer-Ingelheim, Director of Medicinal Chemistry for Tranzyme Pharma and

and Principal Research Advisor for the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC), Université de Montréal.  In the latter, he was responsible for the creation of several research projects, including the establishment of the first Canadian academic research team working on DNA-encoded Libraries. He has extensive experience in numerous disease areas, including infectious diseases and cancer, as well as a thorough record of research group management and employee supervision.

Julien Poupart, Ph. D., MCIC

Scientific Advisor, Chemical Biology  Co-founder

Julien Poupart studied chemistry at the Université de Montréal under the direction of Professor William D. Lubell, obtaining his Ph.D. degree 2020.  His doctoral dissertation on N-aminoimidazolones was awarded the Rector's Honor List distinction.  Following graduation, Dr. J. Poupart joined the Institute for Research in Immunology and Cancer (IRIC) first for a Postdoctoral research appointment under the direction of Dr. Anne Marinier

Marinier (2021, in collaboration with Prof. Sylvie Mader, IRIC) and later as a Research Advisor (2021-2024) where he implemented a bioorganic research unit focused on the development on DNA-encoded chemical libraries (DECL).  Promoted to Team Leader in 2024, Dr. J. Poupart also completed an executive degree in scientific entrepreneurship from Concordia University (John Molson Business School), and is a member of the Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC), the Oligonucleotide Therapeutics Society (OTS) and the American Peptide Society (APS).
